How would you describe your 2025?

For us, this year beckoned us to really take a look at our priorities and how we look at and think about the ups and downs:

At the beginning of this year, we were so excited to serve with more value! In January, we shifted our company’s name to Finding the Gold Coaching & Films. We added Coaching, Listening and Talks to our Products and Services, and had a big online launch party with many of you attending.

But then in February, my body burned out. I required doctor care and supervision. My Mom also required more care and time. She passed away in June. A close friend’s health declined, which meant she and her family needed increased support. I found myself with low energy, unable to focus for long, struggling to give out of a limited tank. And just as I was starting to bounce back this fall, John had a fall and required major surgery and support.

I was so disappointed. How could I work and serve you and the community when there are so many other needs in my personal life that require my energies? Would I ever be able to serve again?

I am still learning to trust that God has this all in His hands as well as to have joy and gratitude in the midst. To take little steps and keep moving forward, even if it is not looking how I thought it would look. And I am learning to share what I have learned.

As I have gone forward, I have noticed these things:

    • Rest, breaks, body care, and talking with someone who listens are always essential and re-energize me.
    • I can choose to make self-care my first priority when I need to.
    • Relationships and experiences together are by far the greatest gifts we can give.
    • Most people are understanding. Most are very open to shifting deadlines.
    • When I need energy, a creative approach is enlivening.
    • There is always something to be grateful for. It can be little or big.
    • Giving over to God the groans of the day and leaving it with Him is freeing.
    • When I give gratitude or express my groans, they help to lift my spirit.

I pray that in some way your journey will be enriched by my sharing what I have gathered. What is one thing that you can do differently to weather the ups and downs of your journey in 2026?

From our house to yours a blessed and strengthened 2026 to you!
